CSI Inspection

Overview

Roman Catholic Schools within the United kingdom, are inspected under Section 48 or Section 50 of the Educations Act 2005.

The Catholic Schools Inspectorate (CSI) statutory inspections are explained in Ofsted's School Inspection Handbook.

Inspections are carried out by Diocesan Catholic Schools Inspectors acting on behalf of the Bishop of Middlesbrough. Inspectors represent the Bishop and therefore must be practising Catholics in full communion with the Catholic Church.

St Anthony’s VC Academy has been judged as 'OUTSTANDING' in all areas in our most recent CSI inspection (June 2022).

The inspection team from the Diocese of Middlesbrough admired the hard work our staff, children and wider school community do to promote the Catholic life of our school.

“Both staff and pupils offer a warm welcome and are very proud of their school.”

“The Catholic Life of the school is underpinned by the school mission statement to ‘Live, Learn and Serve’. Pupils confidently talked about how at St Anthony’s they try to live like Jesus, learn about Jesus and serve like Jesus, and could give examples of how they do this.”
